About USA Futsal

We are a creative team of futsal enthusiasts located in the United States. We organized the 2013 Intercontinental Futsal Cup, 2012 and 2013 World Futsal Cups in Barcelona, Spain and are the hosts of the 2014 World Futsal Championships located at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in the Walt Disney World Resort.

We are a creative team of futsal enthusiasts headquartered in Cary, NC. We believe in growing futsal organically by partnering with a range of organizations to bring creative skills, backgrounds, and ideas to maximize effectiveness. We love to collaborate with organizations big and small.

Rob Andrews


Rob Andrews is originally from Cary, NC. He played 4 years at Apex High School before taking an offer to play for Emory and Henry College in 2002. Since finishing his college playing career, he has coached at Appalachian State University, High Point University, North Carolina’s ODP Program, and is an adjunct staff member of the New York Red Bulls Youth Academy. He has also been the Director of Goalkeeping for HCSA in Boone, NC and PTFC in High Point, NC. Before creating SportHQ, he acted as the Director of Coaching for the Challenge Division at Capital Area Soccer League in Raleigh, NC. While there he created the CASL Ambassadors Program which ran annually from 2008-2011. In addition to his Advanced National Team Diploma, Rob holds the Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma from the NSCAA; the highest goalkeeper badge currently available in the US. Professionally, Rob assisted the Carolina Railhawks during the 2007-2009 seasons.

Each summer from 2008-2011, Rob spent at least 1 month overseas traveling to youth academies all over Europe and South America to try to learn how players were developed.
